That is a brilliant question!! Regardless of the
medium (mouse pad, key chain, magnet etc...), a clever marketing person can see the benefit in using a unique tool to grab his/her customers attention.
Examples?
An Orthodontist gives away a mouse pad with his/her business information on it as
recognition of a "JOB WELL DONE" whenever a patient gets their braces removed. How about a Real
Estate Agent giving away a matted print as a closing table gift.... or an RV Dealer giving away a
key chain each time they sell a vehicle?
The possibilities are endless! So many of my cartoons have a "professional" angle to them. You are only limited by your imagination. One final example has to
do with my personal CPA. Whether his clients picked up their taxes or he mailed them, everyone received a
personalized cartoon mouse pad from him! They were a hit!!
Think about it.... how many business cards have
you thrown away over the years? Me, I've thrown away hundreds, maybe even thousands of them. I promise you that none of those accountant cartoon mouse
pads will hit the circular file.
I know what you're thinking, "isn't a mouse pad more expensive than a business card?" You bet it is! But
I'd rather spend more of my advertising dollars on an item that will be right at my customers fingertips for hours each day, rather than a business
card that might be used to scribble a shopping list on or get tossed out next wallet clean-out day! |
